I’ve written a lot about the benefits of fish oils lately, but I just came across a really good explanation of what DHA and EPA do in the body. So, this post will be short but sweet!
EPA is believed to increase blood flow in our bodies. It also has an effect on hormones and the immune system, which in turn directly impact on the way our brain functions.
DHA makes it easier for the ion channels in our brain to change shape and transmit electrical signals. Hence, the reputation of fish oils for a myriad of things that include the growth and development of brains in fetus’, and general brain function in adults.
